WHY INVEST IN THIS EDUCATION?

Are you Ready2prepare? “Don't go to extremes. Just go the distance.”

“If a real disaster, either natural or manmade, were to strike near me and my family what would I do?”

This is a legitimate question many people have asked themselves over the last few years. The threat of Y2K and the reality of 9/11 and Katrina brought the idea of personal preparedness to the forefront for a lot of citizens who hadn't previously considered the need for emergency preparedness. Then there are always the possibility of tsunamis, tornados, wildfires, floods, earthquakes, power outages, snow, hail and ice storms, economic depression and unemployment. The list goes on.

Ready2prepare is not selling fear. Ready2prepare doesn't have to. The major network television channels and nationwide periodicals are doing a fine job of that. Many people we have surveyed are either screaming like Chicken Little or they have buried their head in the sand believing that nothing bad will ever happen to them.

Ready2prepare provides a different point of view. We propose that people begin to exercise some proven, common sense? Start the ball rolling with some pre-planning and well thought out preparation? No need to cry that the sky is falling and let's pull our heads out of the sand if we believe that it can never happen to us.

The Ready2prepare philosophy of personal preparedness is based on our current world environment. People agree it would be naïve to expect that they could live their lives without being affected by calamity on one level or another. So if the actuality of individuals and communities facing a real disaster is medium to high, wouldn't it make sense to be just a little bit prepared? Let's not talk about digging foxholes in our front yard and stock piling sea rations. Let's talk about having a gallon of water per person per day for two weeks. Let's talk about how to stay warm if the power is knocked out by a storm or how to safely purify our water if our source is shut off for a while. What foods would you eat if your ability to bake, fry or broil is eliminated? MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) are great but will children or the elderly eat them too? How much toilet paper does my family use in a month? These are questions that would be better answered before a catastrophe. You don't want to ask yourself these questions in the eye of the storm. Ready2prepare will help you to get into the mindset where you can answer these questions and many more before the needs arise. Most of all, Ready2prepare wants you to THINK rationally during an emergency.

The security that comes from knowing that we are ready if confronted by a real emergency is truly remarkable. The peace of mind one can achieve while enduring a crisis would have to be experienced to be fully understood and appreciated. So lets get started!

We invite you to stay calm, stay safe and plan ahead.
